Atchafalaya River falling below flood stage.

The Atchafalaya River is falling below flood stage at Morgan City and the perch, sac-a-lait and bass fishing should really start to pick up locally.  It's time to get out in the boat with the wife & kids and enjoy some quality time together.   Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

The salt water fishing is great also.We went to Oyster Bayou last weekend and loaded up on reds.Pleanty of fish and shrimp in the water. We were going tomorrow, but it looks like the rain will stop us.

Looks like less shrimp boats in the Gulf and  bays may actually have a positive effect on salt water fishing,That is an unexpected but appreciated side effect and a little silver lining in a very bad situation.
