Hey everyone if you hadn't noticed ST. MARY PARISH  will be taking part in the 2010 CENSUS. I can't stress just HOW IMPORTANT THE CENSUS IS!! Everybody needs to be counted....makes no difference if your illegal, legal, married, single, black, white, brown, male, female, Methodist, Catholic, homeowner, renter, sleeping in your car....sleeping under the bridge....we need to count every person in our parish. If you did not know that is how we receive funding from the STATE and FEDS....more people we have...the more funds and tax dollars that get returned here. Workers will be going out in the communities to make sure you register. You will also recieve a card in the mail....plelase fill it out and return it. if you need help call the courthouse 337-828-4100 and they will walk you throught the process. There are only 10 questions you need to answer....please help us out with this...SOME MYTHS about the CENSUS....if your wanted the police they won't find out where your hiding....if you owe back child-support they won't call your job....if your an illegal immigrant they won't deport you if you register....and no you won't have jury duty if you register......so there is no real reason why you shouldn't register.....so please.....REGISTER !!!!!!!
